International Conference on Geometric Modeling and Processing (GMP)
GMP is an annual international conference series on mathematical and computational aspects of geometric modeling and processing. It is one of the flagship conferences of the Asia Graphics Association. Since its inauguration in 2000, this highly successful conference series provides researchers and practitioners with a forum for exchanging new ideas, discussing new applications, and presenting new solutions.
Conference Proposals
If you are interested in organizing one of the future GMP conferences, then please contact the chair of the GMP steering committee.
Conference Proceedings
Since 2015, the GMP conference proceedings are published as special issues of Computer Aided Geometric Design. All submitted papers undergo a two-stage and double-blind review process.
Best Paper Awards
Since 2017, the three best conference papers are honored with a best paper award, sponsored by Elsevier (except in 2019, when they were sponsored by Adobe).
Journal Paper Presentations
In addition to the accepted conference papers, GMP invites the authors of selected papers from Computer Aided Geometric Design and IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics that match the conference topics to present their work.
Steering Committee
The GMP steering committee is responsible for selecting the conference and program co-chairs, the conference venues, as well as maintaining the GMP website. It is currently composed of eight members:
- Kai Hormann (Università della Svizzera italiana, Switzerland) [chair]
- Shi-Min Hu (Tsinghua University, China)
- Bert Jüttler (Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria)
- Myung-Soo Kim (Seoul National University, Korea)
- Ligang Liu (University of Science and Technology of China)
- Kenji Shimada (Carnegie Mellon University, USA)
- Scott Schaefer (Texas A&M University, USA)
- Wenping Wang (The University of Hong Kong)
The GMP steering committee gratefully honors the emeritus members who served the committee in the past and helped shaping the success of the GMP conference series:
- Hiromasa Suzuki (University of Tokyo, Japan)
